Wedding at the Hotel Du Pont

Cutler Wedding

The goal of CDG is to always express the couple’s personality through our design. This wedding was designed to reflect all the wants and wishes of the bride and groom. The event began with expressive ceremony décor in the DuBarry Room at the Hotel du Pont. The aisle was created with a runner dappled with rose petals flanked by very modern illuminated rectangular towers topped with a grid of votive candles. At the front was a Chuppah draped with white organza fabric. There was a wonderful juxtaposition between the old world elegance of the room and the modern simplicity of the light and fabric.

Each of the bridesmaids carried a different bouquet within the dominant color palate of pink, purple, and orange. There was a variety among the flower types as well including peonies, roses, gerbera daisies and tulips. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of ivory calla lilies.

The breathtaking reception décor featured canopies over some of the tables with hanging candles and suspended orchids. Other centerpiece concepts included groupings of small vases, elevated arrangements, and tight “box” style arrangements. Black runners ran the length of the rectangular tables and the chairs were covered with black spandex bands replacing bows for a more stylized chair accent/finish.
